Oscar D. Whitehead

Oscar D. Whitehead, 80, of Florence, passed away at his residence, Sunday, March 17, 2024. He was a retired machinist with T.V.A.  He was a United States Air Force veteran and worked in aircraft maintenance.

Visitation will be Friday, March 22, 2024, from 9-11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park with military honors. Officiating will be Darrell Whitehead.

Mr. Whitehead was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Martha Whitehead; parents, Oscar and Nancy Whitehead; brothers, Edward, Harold and Solan Whitehead; sister, Evelyn Whitehead.

He is survived by his daughter, Julie Gay Whitehead; brother, Troy Whitehead; grandchildren, Kelsey Damone, Taylor Damone, and Kenzie Jeffreys; great-grandchildren, Addilyn and Allison Gray.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Johnson, Robbie Lavender, Blair Farley, Larry Lavender, and Randall Whitehead.
